Hostal Elkano - Barcelona

Hostal Elkano was a great find for our family trip! The spacious, air-conditioned triple room was comfortable, and we appreciated the nice showers and clean setup. Conveniently located within walking distance of several tourist attractions and a beautiful beach, we enjoyed easy access to the metro and nearby supermarkets, including a Filipino restaurant.

The noise from surrounding rooms was a bit disruptive.

the rooms were wonderful and silent, with bathtubs. besides, the location was marvellous for our stay, within 15 minutes' walk of plaza real.

I had a really nice experience here, everything was fine, the location was absolutely perfect close to Poble Espanyol and places yo eat something and shops, restaurants, bars and the bus station. The staff were excellent and amicable, good services. The hotel rooms were silent and compact with bathroom and a double bed, as for instance. Loved my stay.

The room was tiny, but the bathroom was decent for the price I paid.

The hostal locates near the metro station and the working staff are very friendly even though they cannot speak english or german. There are some small supermarkets around the hostal which one can buy some fruit and water from.

It's just behind the street building which is a little bit diffcult to find out, especially for the travellers... One can easily hear what happened out of the room...

Had a decent stay overall! The location was definitely a win, with a quick walk to the metro and some great spots. Rooms could use better soundproofing though. You hear everything next door.

I like very much the location. It is situated in a quite and safe neighbourhood. In twenty minutes of walk you'll be in Port Vell or Las Ramblas. The guy from reception speaks excellent English and is very friendly.

The walls are very thin and you could hear almost everything from others rooms.

Everything was perfect, fairly clean hotel, particularly good and absolutely perfect location to the metros. The triple room had all we needed, including large bathroom.

Sweet as location near the metro, but the soundproofing was rubbish-could hear everything next door. The shower was mean, though! Really hot and powerful!

The hostel was in a great area for the purpose of my visit. Every morning there were plenty of local bakeries and fruit shops selling fresh produce.the staff were very friendly and for the price of my room, it met the standards of my cleanliness expectations.it was only ten minutes to the port and ten minutes to the Olympic stadium, the ramblers was only fifteen minutes walk away. An ideal location in a quiet local neighbourhood.

Some of the locals above were a little noisy in the morning, I suppose getting ready for work.

cheap cheap and cheap. just few stations away from La Ramblas and other attractions, also the train station!

room without aircondition can be really stuffy, i was lucky to have a room with a door connecting to the balcony so i can open it when i'm in the room and close it only when i'm off to bed.

The location is conveniently close to several attractions, nice for easy explorations on foot. The triple room size fits a group fairly well.

Upon entering, the steel door and dim corridor set an odd tone. The proximity to the reception feels intrusive, with a sense of needing to maintain a low noise level due to close quarters. There were noticeable sewage smells at times, and room cleaning left much to be desired, especially in the bathroom.

The venue's position was very central.
